According to the needs of the client, GCHA may function in several modes.
Where the work to be done and its time-frame can be well defined, GCH
functions as :-
- lead consultant, utilizing outside consultant organizations and testing
facilities for specialized needs
- senior consultant, supplying technical assistance to the primary
contractor, which is either a management consultant (e.g. Coopers & Lybrand, Intertech,
Innovitech) or a consulting engineering company (e.g. Rescan/Hatch Associates, Metchem/Pellemon, SNC, Lavalin, Warnock Hersey, Roche)
Ongoing Basis
Where consulting services are needed on a regular basis as the
project progresses, GCH supplies these:-
- on a retainer basis of so many days per month
- on temporary contract basis , supplying services as if an
employee, but without fringe benefits. (e.g.acting as pro-tem
Technical Director for Suzorite for 6 months, while
recruiting and training a permanent employee.)

- Bulk Density ; Specific Gravity; Loss on ignition
- Microscopy Aspect ratio by film balance
- Surface treatment - 500 g - 100 kg batches
